đź’ˇ Cameras are core map elements within the Digeiz solution, as they capture the video streams required for pedestrian counting and audience analytics.

Two camera types are supported on the map:

Vector.png

Equiplanar camera

An equiplanar camera captures video in a single direction with a fixed field of view of 110 degrees. This camera type is typically used for directional flow measurement and targeted area coverage.

360° camera

A 360-degree camera captures video in all directions, providing omnidirectional coverage of the surrounding area. This camera type is suited for wide-area monitoring and complex pedestrian environments.

Camera Details Panel

When a camera is selected on the map, a dedicated side panel is displayed. This panel provides detailed information and configuration options related to the selected camera.

The diagram below illustrates the camera details panel, followed by a table describing each of its components.

Panel section Key Example Description
Camera Images - - Displays reference images associated with the camera. See the Camera Images section below for details.
Title section Camera name C-105 The logical name assigned to the camera.
Camera Icon Equiplanar camera Indicates whether the camera is an equiplanar or 360° camera.
Floor Floor 0 The floor on which the camera is installed.
Enabled - Indicates whether the camera is currently enabled. Cameras may be temporarily disabled during on-site work that affects video capture.
Database ID Camera ID 11446 Internal identifier used in the Digeiz database.
External ID - Identifier used in the customer’s database.
Links Counting stations 3 Number of counting stations generating data from this camera.
CS deployment 3/3 Number of deployed counting stations relative to the total configured.
Virtual streams 1050 100 x 100 Each counting station is associated with a virtual stream representing a cropped region of the video feed.
Hardware Model Dome 110… Camera hardware model.
Resoultion 582 x 580 Native resolution of the camera video stream.
Type Equiplanar Indicates whether the camera is equiplanar or 360°.
Counting stations Gate_3 List of counting stations connected to the camera.
Deployment Environment Static - All clear Describes environmental stability. “Static” indicates no expected changes. “Changing” indicates a variable environment (e.g. decorations, ceiling height changes, vegetation growth), which may trigger warnings.
Study New The following ten deployment options are available:

New Camera Installation of a new camera requiring new network cabling.

New Camera, New Position, Existing Cable Typically used when replacing legacy sensors connected via RJ45 cabling, allowing optimization of available switch ports.

Existing Camera Validated The camera is already installed. The installer only needs to configure a video stream for Digeiz; the camera location and field of view remain unchanged.

Existing Camera and Cable – Change Position Minor adjustments to the physical position of an existing camera are required.

Existing Camera and Cable – Change Field of View Minor adjustments to the camera’s field of view are required, with no change to cabling.

Reuse Upgraded Camera – New Cable and New Position Reuse of a camera that has been replaced or upgraded elsewhere, installed in a new location with new cabling (e.g., a 5MP camera replaced by an 8MP model and redeployed in a different area).

Reuse Upgraded Camera – Existing Cable, New Position Reuse of a replaced camera installed in a new location using existing cabling (e.g., redeployment in a parking area using an existing RJ45 connection).**Upgrade

Camera – Keep Cable and Position** Replacement of an existing camera with a higher-resolution model, with no change to cabling, position, or field of view.

Upgrade Camera – Keep Cable, Change Position Replacement of an existing camera with a higher-resolution model requiring minor adjustments to position and field of view.

Optional Cameras that may be installed if the project scope is extended or modified. | | | Existing cable | No | Indicates whether an existing network cable is reused. | | | Installation | Installed | Indicates whether the camera has been physically installed. | | | Status | Enabled | Operational status of the camera. Cameras may be disabled temporarily during on-site work. | | Credentials | Type | RTSP | Streaming protocol used by the camera. | | | URL | rtspt://127… | URL of the camera video stream. | | | Multicast | Off | Indicates whether multicast streaming is enabled (single stream consumed by multiple receivers). | | | User | | Username used to authenticate to the camera stream. | | | Password | | Password used to authenticate to the camera stream. | | Comment | - | déjà installée | Free-text field for operational notes added by the Digeiz Operations team. |
