💡 Counting stations are specific points on the map where the Digeiz software is configured to count pedestrians.

The Digeiz software multiflux is responsible for analyzing the video streams, at 10 FPS. For each frame, a neural network detects the pedestrians. Then a tracking algorithm based on motion and appearance creates trajectories out of the single-image detections. These trajectories are then compared to a calibrated polygon :

This picture is a debugging view from the software where the counting polygon is displayed in yellow and the trajectory 575 is passing-by the polygon - it will not enter the counting polygon.
When a counting station is selected on the map, a side panel appears. Below is a diagram illustrating this panel, along with a table providing descriptions of its various elements:

| Panel section | Key | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Camera Images | - | - | Displays the camera images associated with the counting station. |
| Title section | Counting station icon | - | Indicates the type of wall associated with the counting station. |
| Floor | Floor 0 | Floor on which the counting station is located. | |
| Backlinks | 3 | Number of map elements linked to the counting station. | |
| Database ID | Counting station ID | 878e7… | Internal identifier used in the Digeiz database. |
| Billing | Deployed | Yes | Indicates whether the counting station has been deployed. |
| Activity | Closed | Indicates whether the counting station is operational (open or closed). | |
| Priority | Low | Calibration priority assigned by the Digeiz Operations team. | |
| Video | Camera ID | C-105 | Identifier of the camera linked to the counting station. |
| Virtual stream ID | 1051 | Identifier of the virtual video stream associated with the counting station. Each counting station uses a dedicated cropped video stream. | |
| Calibration | Take away | No | Indicates whether the counting station measures a takeaway or payment area within a kiosk. |
| Counting type | All | Defines whether the counting station measures entries, exits, or both. | |
| Map element | Carrefour | In | Wall to which the counting station is associated. |
